Created in my former studio in Toronto, Canada. Located in the Parkdale Village neighborhood.
A painting created in the most troubled of times, the death of the person I love the most. Grandma passed away on April 7, 2021 around 8 pm due to Covid-19 complications. We briefly spoke before her passing and I tried to comfort her by telling her everyone is going to be okay and sharing the news of my new contract with an important auction house in Toronto. She repeatedly mentioned her desire to see her mother and after my Ayahuasca experience I can honestly say that I saw her together with her mom, husband, son and daughter on the other side or wherever one goes after this life.
This painting depicts that moment when my life changed forever. There is no realism, only expression.
